A free computer training program for 10,000 women of the country has undertaken in order to create self employment under the project title “Promoting Computer Literacy Amongst Women for Self-Employment”. Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha (JMS), Department of Women Affair and Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) in association with Ministry of Women and Children Affairs will perform this training program. In this regard the MoU was signed between Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and DIIT was held on February 16, 2012 at the Jatio Mohila Sangstha (JMS). Mr. Md. Ashraf Hossain, Director General, Department of Women Affairs, Professor Momtaz Begum, Chairman, Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha and Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Institute of IT and Daffodil Group signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institution. Through this MoU of free computer training 10,000 educated, unemployed and destitute women will get the employment opportunity having computer knowledge and will go ahead to implement digital Bangladesh. Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs was present on the MoU signing ceremony as the chief guest. Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Executive Director of DIIT and other high officials of concerned institutions were also present on the agreement signing ceremony..
